When deciding to go vegan, it’s easy to get overwhelmed. By cutting out meat, eggs, dairy, and cheese, you’re setting yourself up for a completely new way of eating and it can be hard to adjust. But going vegan doesn’t have to feel that way, and we’ll let you in on a little secret; going vegan isn’t as hard as it seems. - Know your why
Do research about the dairy and meat industry and know why you are choosing a cruelty-free lifestyle. Are you going vegan for the animals? The environment? Your own health? It could be a mix of the three, but the point is that knowing why you’re going vegan is going to help you stick to that lifestyle.
- Rethink food
Vegan food shouldn’t be about replacing non-vegan food. If you start by making vegan replacements, you’re just going to compare it to the original. We recommend that you find new recipes and try new foods instead. That way you are going to discover a lot of delicious plant-based foods to incorporate to your diet.
- Make sure you’re getting your daily nutrients
Just because you’re vegan doesn’t mean you’re automatically healthy. Do a little research and make sure you incorporate all of the essential vitamins and nutrients your body needs to function.
- Be adventurous
Try new things! There are so many plant-based options out there that there’s no way you won’t find something you’ll love. Leave your comfort zone when it comes to food.
